YEREVAN. – There are no sufficient conditions for investments, Nikol Pashinyan wants to see development and flow of investments, but everyone should work, and the work has to be effective, leader of Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsarukyan said.

Tsarukyan, who is heading Multi Group group of companies, said economic revolution requires certain conditions that have to be better than in the neighboring countries, for instance in Georgia.

“Once we ensure a large influx of investment, we can think about raising taxes. In the meantime, it is necessary to reduce taxes and create a single window system so that investors do not waste time on bureaucratic problems. This resulted in delay in the implementation of $100 million worth project from Arab investors,” he said.

Tsarukyan recalled that during the 2009 economic crisis, he spoke to the authorities, including the then PM Tigran Sargsyan about the need to reduce taxes.

“We saw economic slump,” he emphasized.

Ceramisia plant opened on Thursday, November 7, as a part of a joint investment project of the Multi Group concern and Italian Stoneware holding. The opening ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, the head of the Multi Group concern Gagik Tsarukyan, government officials, deputies and businessmen.
