The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation hosted the meeting of Chairman of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin with Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Armenia Hayk Grigoryan.

The parties discussed the issues on implementation of the Committees’ programs for cooperation in the fields of criminology, science and education, as well as certain aspects of the provision of mutual legal aid under criminal cases. The display of criminological devices and the application of the latest methods and resources for investigation and expert examination of crimes, as well as the procedural grounds for use of hypnosis and polygraphic studies were particularly of interest for representatives of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

At the end of the meeting, the chairmen of the Investigative Committees of Russia and Armenia signed a Joint Statement on the willingness to take joint actions to resist criminality and improve the quality and promptness of investigations into criminal cases. During the visit to Moscow, the Armenian delegation will also visit the Academy of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Moscow where the delegates will meet with the professors and be introduced to the activities of the Russian Investigative Committee in the fields of science and education.
