On November 8 at 5:51 p.m. local time (at 13:51 Greenwich time), the Seismological Network of the Seismological Protection Territorial Survey of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia recorded an earthquake with the geographical coordinates of 37.960 northern latitude and 48.460 eastern longitude (in Iran, 36 km southeast from city of Ardebil), 10 km deep from the center and with a 5.1 magnitude, reports the news service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The force of the underground shock in the epicenter zone was 7 points.

The earthquake was felt with a 3-point magnitude in the cities of Kapan, Agarak and Kajaran of Syunik Province of the Republic of Armenia.
