YEREVAN. – The military recruitment requirements are being tightened in Armenia. Deputy Defense Minister Gabriel Balayan said this in a conversation with journalists on November 11.

According to him, the respective requirements have increased in the last year, especially regarding the health and well-being of conscripts. "Now we are getting tougher on these issues," Balayan said, adding that recently there has been an increase in the number of conscripts.

Asked if there are any psychological problems among them, the deputy minister answered negatively.
