YEREVAN. – The Yerevan budget of 2020 stands out with a particularly large increase over this year's budget. Deputy Mayor Hayk Sargsyan stated this in a video posted on the municipality's Facebook page.

According to him, instead of the 2019 revenues of 83 billion 200 million drams, in 2020 they have planned 107 billion drams.

"The share of own income in the total community's incomes is growing, which is a pretty big macroeconomic indicator," the deputy mayor said. "Our spending next year will make about 116 billion drams, which is 25 billion drams more than in 2019."

He stressed that there are several major projects. "We are also planning to launch a rather large-scale social housing program," he said, adding that one of the main spending areas is to make the city more accessible to people with disabilities.
