YEREVAN. – Armenia has a very strong system in place in the fight against counterfeit products, making the country one of the most effective ones in the EAEU in this context. Karine Minasyan, Minister in charge of Internal Markets, Informatization, Information and Communication Technologies of the Eurasian Economic Commission, said this in a conversation with reporters on November 12.

She added that in Armenia there are more than 250 products under labeling and the oversight is very high, and after the introduction of the new system, the share of counterfeit products in the country has decreased by 30-40%.

According to Minasyan, international e-commerce is growing faster in Armenia, and international deliveries have increased tenfold in three years.

As reported earlier, on November 12-13, Yerevan is hosting the 7th International Forum "Anticontrafact 2019". It is dedicated to the fight against the illegal circulation of industrial products, including the protection of intellectual property rights.
