No one can to speak with Armenia from the position of force, Armenian Prime Minister said during the Paris Peace Forum.

“Unfortunately, Azerbaijan continues to claim that Yerevan, the capital of independent Armenia, is an Azerbaijani city. Meanwhile, our proposal is peace, and we are not using threats against anyone in our region. We are willing to prepare for peace,” he said in response to the question by Azerbaijani participant.

Pashinyan said he is personally ready to start a dialogue not only with Azerbaijani government, but with Azerbaijani people, “because we have many things to discuss”.

In response to Azerbaijani participant’s question on “internationally recognized Karabakh within Azerbaijan”, Pashinyan emphasized that internationally established format named the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship has a mandate to decide on the final status of Karabakh.

“Your government is involved in the negotiation process. If Karabakh is internationally recognized part of Azerbaijan why are you negotiating to decide the status?” he said.

He recalled that once Karabakh had a status of autonomous region, and this status brought to a blooded conflict.
