YEREVAN. – In 2020, capital spending in Armenia will reach 5% instead of 2.8% in 2019. Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan stated this at the November 13 sitting of the National Assembly during the discussion of the draft state budget for 2020.

According to him, healthcare spending will increase by 22 percent, and education and social spending - by 11 percent.

Even under these conditions, Janjughazyan expects the national debt to reduce. "Armenia's national debt will reach below 50% of the GDP," the minister stressed. "At the same time, we are likely to reach that level by the end of this year."
