Armenia’s international partners have welcomed the country’s perception of the preconditions for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and have stated that Armenia’s position is rather constructive. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said as he responded to deputies’ questions during a session of the National Assembly today.

According to the Prime Minister, over the past year-and-a-half, Armenia’s partners have been able to clarify for themselves that Armenia not only lacks the intention to lead the process of negotiations to a deadlock, but also wants to continue with new energy.

“There are several issues, and without the solution to those issues it will be impossible to hold effective negotiations. Despite the alarm, the negotiations aren’t in a deadlock and efforts are being made to create conditions for the talks and create an appropriate atmosphere for all the sides of the conflict,” the Prime Minister stated.

Commenting on Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov’s statement that it will be impossible to reach an agreement on the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict without taking into consideration the opinion of the people of Artsakh, Pashinyan said this arises from the logic of the process of negotiations.
