YEREVAN. – Hraparak newspaper writes: The perceived toughness recently in the Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP)-authorities’ relationship has deeper roots.

According to our information, the PAP has received external impulses to become a radical opposition. In particular Russia has made it clear they will not allow them to show comprehensive support to [PM] Nikol Pashinyan’s power and, like before, suddenly become a coalition.

Now Russia needs the formation of a strong opposition in Armenia, and the PAP has something to do in that field. After these signals, the PAP has toughened its behavior.
