It is planned to allocate AMD 33.3 billion for the needs of the Armenian Ministry for 2020, Armenian economy minister Tigran Khachatryan said at the Armenian parliament on Thursday during the discussion of the draft state budget for 2020.

According to him, these funds will be directed to programs implemented in agriculture, tourism development, especially infrastructure reform. 

“Funds will also be allocated for the implementation of programs on the development of industry, medium and small businesses,” Khachatryan noted adding that AMD 18 billion will be allocated for agricultural programs, AMD 6.3 million - for tourism development. It is planned to finance and implement 12 activities under five programs, the total costs of which will amount to AMD 8.9 billion.

Tigran Khachatryan also said that out of the specified amount of AMD 33.3 billion, AMD 17.8 billion should be co-financed by external sponsors, and the remaining funds will be provided from the state budget through tax revenues.
