I support the policy that Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan is leading for reforms. This is what Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan told journalists at the National Assembly today.

“His public statements coincide with my notions. For instance, I have had the occasion to talk about the “History of Armenian Church” subject in schools during a session of the Supreme Spiritual Council in Etchmiadzin,” Mirzoyan said.

According to him, among the people demanding the minister’s resignation are people who can attest to the fact that they are representing the interests of particular political parties or specific centers. “The demand for the minister’s resignation is mainly due to those political ties and a political subtext. I am certain that the rest is an excuse to advance this issue,” the parliamentary speaker stated.
