YEREVAN. – Students of the Yerevan State University (YSU) Faculty of Armenian Philology, who are protesting the bill on "Higher Education and Science," continue the boycotting of classes which they had started last week.

Students told Armenian News-NEWS.am that they will continue their protest in this manner until they meet with Arayik Harutyunyan, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia.

The ministry issued a statement today reaffirming that they are ready for discussions with all interested parties in the matter, and whose exact timetable will be published later.

A few days ago, some YSU lecturers also joined the students' boycotting of classes with a one-day strike.

At the same time, the youth of the ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party continue their sit-in near the ministries’ building, and demanding the resignation of Harutyunyan. They complain about the Education, Science, Culture and Sports Ministry's policy, calling it "antinational."
