Design works on engineering city in Armenia has reached the final phase; construction works are scheduled for 2020, said high-tech industry minister Hakob Arshakyan at the Armenian parliament on Friday during the discussion of the 2020 draft state budget.

According to him, his ministry plans to place about 35 engineering companies in the city, which will be given the opportunity to create about 1,500 new jobs.

Arshakyan believes that nearly AMD 10 billion will be attracted to achieve this goal with the cooperation of the state and the private sector.
