YEREVAN. – If you ask the Armenian authorities about problems in all directions, they will refute them. ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party of Armenia Bureau Chief Armen Rustamyan said this at the November 15 conference in Vernatun Club.
"Unless the authorities come out of such complacency, there will be no signs of dialogue," Rustamyan said. "It is necessary to create opportunities for subject discussions, to hear different points of view."
According to him, the ARF has its criterion for assessing the authorities. It is the government that uses the country's territorial resources and the human resources of Armenia, Artsakh and the Diaspora correctly. "There is the impression that the country is not developing with plans, but at the whim of one person [i.e., PM Nikol Pashinyan]," Rustamyan said. "There is a need to wake up."
According to him, the biggest achievement of the revolution in 2018 was that the people have realized that they can stand up and change power, or dictate their will to the authorities.
Armen Rustamyan emphasized that the incumbent authorities have come to power with the help of the people, and they shall leave with the help of the people—and through a conscious choice, not through pathos and euphoria.
