The new government has 1.5-2.5 years to meet the positive expectations of the population, but the 2020 draft budget does not live up to the expectations of the Armenian people, said Prosperous Armenia party MP Mikayel Melkumyan at the Armenian parliament during the discussion of the draft state budget for 2020.

According to Melkumyan, the expectations of citizens were revolutionary, and the draft budget was realistic, and indicates that no drastic positive changes can be expected.

“In January-June of this year, the influx of investments in the real sector of the economy - in industry, construction, agriculture, amounted to only $ 310 million, but over the same period there was an outflow of capital in the amount of $ 295 million. That is, the real inflow of investments amounted to $ 15 million,” he said calling on the government to find out why people began to export their capital from Armenia.
