The polling stations have opened for the election of the deputies for the House of Representatives of the 7th convocation National Assembly of Belarus today at 8am, and the voting will continue until 8pm, BelTA reports.

A total of 5,831 polling stations were formed, including 46 abroad.

A majoritarian electoral system of relative majority is in place to publish the results.

The election is recognized as held if more than half of the voters included in the lists vote.

The candidate who receives the majority of votes is considered elected.

A total of 6,880,605 Belarusian citizens can vote in the current elections.
