Turkey has assured Russia that it won’t jeopardize Russia’s efforts in Syria and isn’t planning to restart the “Source of Peace” military operations in northern Syria. This is what Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov declared as he commented on the statement by Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlut Cavusoglu that the US and Russia haven’t done anything to withdraw Kurdish formations from the Turkish-Syrian border, reports TASS.

“Turkish government officials had talks with our ambassador, and during their talks, they assured our ambassador that Ankara won’t jeopardize Russia’s efforts. Mr. Cavusoglu, my counterpart and friend, as well as official representative of the President of Turkey Ibrahim Kalin haven’t talked about the restart of the “Source of Peace” operation,” he said.
