Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is in Italy on an official visit, met with vice president Fabrizio Sala of Lombardy Region.

"Thank you for this meeting," Sala said, in particular. "I hope it will have an impact in strengthening our relations."

PM Pashinyan, in turn, noted that Armenia's relations with Italy are moving to a new stage, and first of all, in economic terms. "I think there is great potential for cooperation with Lombardy Region, especially in business," the prime minister added. “Last year, when Ryanair airline was interested in flying to Armenia, it was decided to start the process from Rome and Milan.

In 2019, we launched three very serious economic projects in Armenia with Italian participation. I come to the conclusion that when we provide political conditions, business responds very quickly."
