Today, Armenia was elected member of the Council of UNESCO’s International Bureau of Education (for the period between 2019 and 2023) and the Legal Committee of the International Conference (for the 41st session) during the 40th session of the UNESCO General Conference taking place in Paris.

The International Bureau of Education is a global center of excellence in curriculum and related matters. As a leading UNESCO Institute, it is recognized and valued for the specialist knowledge and expertise that it brings to member states promoting new shared global understanding of curriculum issues.

The Legal Committee of the UNESCO General Conference is responsible for interpreting the proposed amendments to the UNESCO Constitution and other fundamental legal acts and presenting a professional opinion on the documents adopted by the General Conference.
