Taiwan External Trade Development Council may open its representation in Armenia.

Aleksandr Yesayan, President of the Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises-UATE, said during his visit to Israel a preliminary agreement was reached to open Council’s representation in Armenia.

Speaking during the Business Innovation Forum 2019, Yesayan emphasized that this would be a good opportunity for IT companies who want to export their products.

Along with this, Yesayan added that the majority of Armenian IT companies are focused on outsourcing, only a few are producing and exporting the final product.

“As part of soft engineering, we were able to achieve impressive success, so now we need to focus our attention on the business area. The companies should have their own products, ”he said.

Yesayan added that the programs outlined by the Ministry of High-Tech Industry for next year are aimed precisely at achieving this goal.
