US President Donald Trump is seriously annoyed by the words of French leader Emmanuel Macron about the death of NATO's brain, TASS reported referring to Axios.

According to Axios source, the statements of the French president can have a paradoxical effect and lead to Trump speaking more positively about NATO at its summit, which will be held in London on December 3-4.

"Allies believe they have worked hard to construct a positive narrative that Trump can buy into," a senior official from a NATO member state told me.

The official noted that narrative as "increased defense spending by European allies of $130b since 2016 ... plus decrease in U.S. share of NATO budget plus increased high readiness forces."
