Conscript Artur Ajamyan, who died today from a gunshot wounds was from Artashar village of Armenia’s Armavir Province, a Yazidi, and he would have turned 21 today. Artashar mayor Manvel Ohanyan told about this to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He said that Artur was drafted in January.

"Artur's grandparents were taking care of him, his parents were divorced," the village head said. “His mother lived in the Masis area, we had no information about her at all; his father was married and living abroad. He lived with her mother for a while, and then his grandparents took him in. He has a brother on his father's side, whereas his mother is not married [again]. ”

Ohanyan noted that Artur’s grandparents are pensioners and engaged in cattle-breeding and farming.

As reported earlier, one soldier of Karabakh Defense Army was killed and another was injured at a military outpost in the northeastern direction of the line of contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan.
