Former US President Jimmy Carter, 95, was hospitalized in the state of Georgia with a urinary tract infection over the weekend, CNN reported. Former US President Jimmy Carter is back in the hospital

Over the past year, Carter has already been hospitalized with a pelvic fracture. Also, the ex-president was breaking the neck of the thigh, because of what he had surgery. He was taken to a hospital for a procedure to reduce intracranial pressure after falls.

"Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter was admitted to Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus, Ga., this past weekend for treatment for a urinary tract infection," a statement from the Carter Center read. "He is feeling better and looks forward to returning home soon. We will issue a statement when he is released for further rest and recovery at home."

Carter was president from 1977-1981. He lived to the most advanced age among all former US presidents. Carter has been successfully treated for brain cancer in recent years.
