On December 2, Chair of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport of the National Assembly of Armenia Mkhitar Hayrapetyan and the Committee’s Deputy Chair Hovhannes Hovhannisyan began their two-day working visit to Finland.

During the visit, Hayrapetyan and Hovhannisyan are scheduled to meet with state officials of various government agencies, as well as representatives of schools and universities.

The Armenian parliamentarians visited Merilaht Public School and the University of Helsinki, toured the educational institutions, were introduced to the characteristics of organizing of education in Finland and had discussions with the relevant officers.

Considering the development of education as a fundamental direction for advancement of a state, the MPs undertook the initiative to become familiar with the Finnish education system on the spot and introduce the best practice in Armenia. The Armenian parliamentarians will also be in the Kingdom of Sweden on a two-day visit.
