YEREVAN. – At its session today, the government approved amendments to the law on NGOs, which stipulate that all NGOs in Armenia shall submit annual reports.

The question was presented by the chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Davit Ananyan. He noted that under the current regulations, only organizations funded by public funds are required to submit annual reports.

"To ensure high accountability, we lift this limitation and suggest that all NGOs publish an annual report from now on, regardless of which sources they have received the funds from," Ananyan said.

He added that if these NGOs funds are not from public sources, they shall publish their programs without specifying the sources of those funds. According to Ananyan, this regulation brings Armenia’s scene to international standards.
