Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev has urged not to idealize the former USSR, reports TASS.

“There were a lot of good things in the former USSR, but it’s not worth idealizing it. It was a very intricate state. Sometimes young people say they would like to be in the former USSR, but how can they? The youth can’t even imagine it. There was almost nothing, even in a city like Leningrad, right?”

Medvedev added that “the absolute majority of youth today simply couldn’t live in the former USSR and would feel extremely uncomfortable”.
