The Iranian Ministry of Intelligence reported the arrest of a group of people who were planning an explosion in an Iranian university dormitory, IRNA reported

The intelligence ministry said agents identified and arrested members of a corrupt network who were attempting to set fire to a dormitory in Tehran, owned by the Iranian University of Science and Technology, damaging the gas hose in the hostel’s kitchen and provoking an explosion. However, the plan was thwarted by awareness among residents and help from security officials.

According to the ministry, the criminals tried to conspire to provoke riots and disrupt events on Iran’s Student Day at the end of this week.
