The funeral for serviceman Artur Ajamyan, who died in Artsakh, was held in Artashar village of Armavir Province of Armenia today.

According to head of Artashar village Manvel Ohanyan, Artur had moved to the village recently and only had good impressions of him.

According to the deceased serviceman’s maternal uncle, Artur had no military document and voluntarily showed up at the military registration office.

The relatives told Armenian News-NEWS.am that they were told about Artur’s death in the morning and are now waiting for the investigation to end so they can know what the reason for his death was.

As reported earlier, on December 2 at around 06:50 a.m., serviceman of the Defense Army of Artsakh Artur Ajamyan (born in 1998) received a lethal firearm injury, and serviceman Davit Melikbekyan (born in 1999) was wounded in the maintenance station of one of the military units of the Defense Army of Artsakh stationed in the northeastern direction.

A criminal case has been instituted in relation to the injuries of the servicemen.

Yesterday the relatives of Ajamyan held a protest in front of the National Assembly with the demand to not view the incident connected to the boy as suicide and find and punish the real culprits.
