Revolutions are followed by economic decline in all countries, but Armenia recorded a more than 5% economic growth after the revolution. This is what deputy of the My Step faction of the National Assembly Hovik Aghazaryan told journalists today, adding that if we imagine that the economy has declined and Armenia has 33% growth of budget, this is more than satisfactory.

Touching upon the charge brought against third President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, he stated that the faction would express its position after the allegations are confirmed and presented to the court.

“I would be very surprised, if the members of the political opposition said the authorities have finally begun to take the necessary measures within the scope of legislation. Our voters and supporters were asking why we are delaying and taking steps slowly, and we would tell them that everything needs to be within the scope of the law. As a political figure, I believe Serzh Sargsyan can be charged with many other acts, particularly electoral fraud,” Aghazaryan said.
