YEREVAN. – We have to go some way in order to make general judgments about the effectiveness of public officials' business trips. Armenia’s Minister of Finance Atom Janjughazyan stated this during a meeting with journalists today.

According to him, if the positive changes are obvious and one of the measures on the way of those positive changes is these visits, then they are effective.

"The official submits a report for each business trip, which is published in the prescribed manner," Janjughazyan said. “You can take and make judgments for each one. I, too, was on one business trip all this time. I was abroad, the business trip lasted 10 days. Let's judge whether or not it was effective. As a result [of this business trip], 70% of the Eurobonds due to be paid in 2020 have been refinanced, and funds have been generated for the rest."
