German Chancellor Angela Merkel will meet with President of Russia Vladimir Putin next week, DW reported quoting a source in the German government.

The meeting will take place on Monday ahead of the Ukraine summit, which will be hosted by President of France Emmanuel Macron.

Merkel also plans to hold talks with Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky.
