Due to the common customs tariffs of the Eurasian Economic Union, the prices of 700 brand-name commodities, including primary commodities will go up in Armenia. This is what former deputy of the Prosperous Armenia faction of the National Assembly, economist Vardan Bostanjyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The prices will go up, and Armenia can’t avoid the inflation. This will be a very heavy burden and will have a negative impact, especially for the vulnerable members of society. There is nothing that can substitute it. It could have been increase of salaries or pensions. True, the government increased the minimums salary by AMD 13,000, but if we look at it as a whole, many people are being dismissed from their jobs and many others are on the brink of dismissal,” he said.
