Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan has commented on responses of those who found charges against the third president of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan ridiculous.

His remarks came at the expert forum on combating corruption for the goals of sustainable development held on Monday.

“A few days ago, Serzh Sargsyan was charged with corruption, and I was surprised by some responses that say that it’s ridiculous that Serzh Sargsyan was charged with abuse of AMD 400 million,” he said.

Pashinyan also touched on his statement that he was not stealing a penny from the state budget.

“This statement contains some inferiority, and using today's excuse, I want to supplement this statement that I don’t steal a penny from the state budget, but I also know that, unfortunately, the state budget is not spent 100% efficiently,” he added.
