YEREVAN. – Whoever applies now, the son of the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will not come. Opposition Prosperous Armenia parliamentary faction leader—and tycoon—Gagik Tsarukyan said this in a conversation with journalists today.

"It's a shame," he said. “People came for business; they came with a business plan. I say again: the king's whatever son he was, he was from the king's family, he was not the king's big one, he was the small one, and he was the youngest one. They primarily came with a business plan, they wanted to invest; he was leaving the rest was to your discretion.”

To the question whether he will again turn to them, or is disappointed, Tsarukyan said: “Whoever applies now, they will not come. You saw such an approach when they said ‘we felt we were an unwanted guest.’ I say again: we don’t obstruct today, but we want to assist, to help organize.

He also reiterated that they do not see a crisis in the Constitutional Court, and will vote against the draft to send its current judges to early retirement.

Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan had noted in the National Assembly that after the revolution, Abu Dhabi's crown prince and owner of Rotana hotel chain in the United Arab Emirates came to Armenia at his invitation, wishing to invest in Armenia, but their meeting with the mayor and chief architect of Yerevan did not succeed.

Tsarukyan also said that he had personally spoken with PM Nikol Pashinyan about organizing the meeting.

But official sources say that Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, the son of the UAE president, had arrived in Armenia in the summer, but he is not the crown prince of Abu Dhabi.
