YEREVAN. – Several people have expressed a desire to vouch for the second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan. His lawyer Aram Orbelyan said this in a conversation with journalists today.

However, the lawyer refrained from specifying the names, positions, and whereabouts of these people.

"I will not say unless they come and express the wish," he added.

He recalled that Robert Kocharyan's lawyers had asked Judge Anna Danibekyan of the first instance court to hold an additional hearing to file a motion for releasing Kocharyan from custody on personal guarantee; but it didn't happen. The next hearing will take place on January 9.
