The first bilateral meeting of Presidents of Russia and Ukraine Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy has kicked off in Paris, reports RIA Novosti.

Mass media outlets are clearly focused on this meeting since the presidents had only held a couple of phone talks in the past.

During the summit in Paris, Putin had “turned” his Ukrainian counterpart to look at the photographers.

At the outset, the President of Ukraine had confused the seats around the table and wanted to sit in the Russian president’s seat. Later, Zelenskyy opened the folder of his documents with his back towards the camera. President of France Emmanuel Macron showed him that there were journalists behind him. Zelenskyy didn’t understand right away, and that was when the President of Russia asked him to turn around, after which Zelenskyy looked at the camera and smiled.
