YEREVAN. – Yes, the schools are in that state, Mrs. Zohrabyan. And why are they in that state? Because you, too, sitting here have pressed buttons together with the [former ruling] RPA. National Assembly (NA) of Armenia Vice Speaker Alen Simonyan said this today at the NA while discussing a draft law on making amendments and addenda to the law on the Constitutional Court, and responding to opposition Prosperous Armenia faction MP Naira Zohrabyan's observation on the poor state of schools in the country.

"We will renovate schools, as we repaired roads, as we are resolving the issue of the army," Simonyan said. "In terms of service, let no one worry."

Simonyan also responded to Gevorg Gorgisyan, a member of the opposition Bright Armenia faction. "I am surprised that Mr. Gorgisyan says it is a fake agenda," Simonyan said. “How does it happen that the highest court of the Armenian judiciary has nothing to do with evaluating falsified elections? Has nothing to do with the answers to the applications petitioned to the Constitutional Court?"

Alain Simonyan stressed that they will change all systems. "We will change quickly, and not only there," he said. "We will change everywhere."

"There is a crisis in Armenia," he added. "And we, the ruling party, are obliged to resolve this issue; and we will."
