Armenian Finance Minister Atom Janjughazyan received Tuesday a delegation led by the head of the mission of the International Monetary Fund in Armenia Nathan Porter, Finance Ministry press service reported.

During the meeting the sides touched upon the possibilities of expanding cooperation and discussed priorities determined by developing industry strategies and their harmonization, as well as directions for further cooperation.

Janjughazyan presented a number of indicators and forecasts of the state budget for 2020, noting that it was compiled based on the results of the budget for the current year. He also addressed the issue of fiscal risk management, attracting investments through fiscal transparency and accountability, as well as debt manageability and capital market development strategies. The Minister highlighted the importance of programs implemented jointly with the IMF and its aid in the context of developing opportunities.
