The “Step Ahead” Armenian non-governmental organization has become a winner of the "For Equal Opportunities" Award of the French and German embassies in Armenia. The award ceremony was hosted by the French Embassy in Armenia today on the occasion of Human Rights Day.

French Ambassador Jonathan Lacote stated that several French and German embassies around the world hold an award ceremony on this day, but the award is special and is granted for efforts in the fight for equal opportunities. “After all, the “Step Ahead” organization consolidates the parents of autistic children and multi-member families or socially disadvantaged families to ensure quality of education, socialization and social integration.

Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Batoyan, who was attending the award ceremony, affirmed the Armenian government’s willingness to protect human rights and lead a policy hinged on European values.

President of “Step Ahead” NGO Tatevik Stepanyan expressed gratitude for the attention and cooperation.
