Article 88 of the Law “On the Constitutional Court” already lays down social guarantees for judges of the Constitutional Court, but the submitted package of laws has nothing in common with social guarantees. This is what deputy of Bright Armenia Party Taron Simonyan said after the voting for the package of drafts of the Law “On making a supplement to the Constitutional Law “On the Constitutional Court”” and related laws in the second and final readings at the National Assembly today. “Your legislative initiative permits a judge with only two years of work experience to go on pension at the expense of taxpayers, and this is simply inadmissible,” the deputy emphasized.

The scandalous law was adopted through the efforts of the My Step Alliance, and Prosperous Armenia Party and Bright Armenia Party voted against it.
