Head of the Union of Informed Citizens NGO, new member of the Public Council Daniel Ioannisyan shares the Prime Minister’s view that the system of governance in Armenia runs contrary to the revolution.

After the government session today, Ioannisyan told journalists that he had been offered to join the Public Council and that he hadn’t declined the offer.

When asked if he sees signs of resistance to the revolution, Ioannisyan said this is deep state. “There is resistance. For instance, recently, the National Security Service has been implementing a classic example of deep state,” Ioannisyan said, adding that he is referring to the National Security Service during and after the term of Artur Vanetsyan.

According to him, those opposing the changes in the public administration system don’t want to see changes and leave their comfort zone.

Touching upon the activities of the Public Council, he said since the Public Council is a necessity in accordance with the Constitution, it has to be effective, and he will make efforts to make the Public Council work effectively.
