YEREVAN. – Today an elderly woman had brought gasoline and a lighter with her in front of the Government of Armenia building and threatened to set herself on fire.

According to this woman, her son has been in a coma for eight months, but law enforcement officials say the reason was a car accident. However, the mother suspects that her son had been subjected to violence.

The woman said that she had personally sent a letter to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, but had not received a response so far.

According to the woman, her son is 29 years old and has three children.

When the woman attempted to set herself on fire, police approached her, an ambulance staff arrived, and Aleksandr Ghazaryan, the head of the government's letter department, invited her to the government reception for a consultation.
