YEREVAN. – Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan received Nathan Porter, new head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Armenia Mission, and Yulia Ustyugova, IMF Resident Representative in Armenia, the ministry's press service reported.

The Minister, at the guests' request, presented all the international indicators that are in the focus of the Ministry, noting that the action plan is being developed in that measurable environment. The Minister also touched upon the steps aimed at improving the business environment and its underlying methodology.

The parties discussed the scope of economic reforms as well as IMF assistance programs. The IMF mission also showed interest in the process of developing and adopting a public-private sector partnership legislative framework.

Discussions also focused on small and medium-sized entrepreneurship development steps and a strategy document in this area.
