Rescuers found the bodies of six victims of a volcanic eruption on the New Zealand island of White Island, NY Times reported.

The remains of one of the victims have already been successfully removed from the island.

The expedition is complicated by risk factors, as experts do not rule out a second eruption over the next 24 hours with a probability of 50-60%.

Volcanic eruption occurred on the volcanic island of White Island on December 9. Eight people have been killed, while several people are reported missing.
