YEREVAN. – It is important that the information received from Armenia be correctly interpreted in Russia, but unfortunately it is not always the case. Armenian Prime Minister's Spokesman Vladimir Karapetyan said this speaking to reporters on December 13.

According to him, 4 Russian channels are broadcast in Armenia by multiplex and about 50 Russian channels—by cable network. "This shows that the Armenian population is widely aware of the situation in Russia," he said. "And we want people in Russia to be well informed about Armenia as well."

Referring to the Armenian-Russian relations, Karapetyan assured that they are at a high level. “Russian companies today have the opportunity to freely operate in Armenia, which is showing 7% economic growth this year; this is the highest rate in the CIS countries,” Karapetyan added. “In addition, freedom of the media and internet access are ensured in Armenia. These positive trends are highly appreciated by the population, as evidenced by data from international organizations."
