Turkey offered the United States to sell Patriot missile defense systems to Ankara and is waiting for a response, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said at a Doha forum in Qatar on Saturday.

According to him, Russian offer was more profitable, and that's why they accepted it. Now they are ready to buy the Patriot system from the US and they are waiting for their response, RIA Novosti reported.

He threatened that Turkey will be forced to respond to sanctions that US may impose amid their purchase of Russian missiles.
