Turkish ruling “Justice and Development” party headed by Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan nominated Chairman of “Strong Turkey” party Tuna Beklevic from Edirne province in June 12 parliamentary elections

According to Beklevic, the list of candidates by “Justice and Development” party, includes both experienced and young politicians, Hurriyet daily reports.

As Armenian News-NEWS.am reported earlier, on October 10, 2011 the Turkish media spread information that Tuna Beklevic with his party fellows crossed the Armenia-Turkey border along the River Akhuryan and entered Armenia. However, later Deputy Chief of Border Service, Russian Federal Security Service, Colonel Andrey Guzeyev refuted the reports.

Beklevic and GTP Deputy Chairperson Baybars Orsek were invited to the Armenian National Security Service to make comments on their statements, made in the Oct. 29 press conference in Yerevan. They claimed they had crossed the border stressing that Russian border guards are well aware of it. Armenian National Security Service offered Leader of “Strong Turkey” party and his party fellows to leave Armenia. Turkish politicians were told that their behavior was inappropriate.
