During the chairmanship of Armenia in the Eurasian Economic Union, progress has been achieved in creating a common jewelry market, and today Armenia takes the initiative by inviting each of the countries to supervise one of the major integration projects, said Armenian prime minister Nikol Pashinyan on Friday.

Armenia expressed readiness to coordinate the implementation of the program for the formation of the jewelry brand of the Eurasian Union, he said.

"It is obvious that the chairmanship of Armenia was very productive in terms of expanding the Union’s foreign economic relations," the PM noted. "As you know, an agreement on trade and economic cooperation with China and an agreement leading to the formation of a free trade zone with Iran entered into force. Free trade agreements were also signed with Singapore and Serbia, as well as an agreement on the abolition of customs information with China."

As he noted, Armenia is also considered the issue of progress in removing barriers between the Eurasian Economic Union member states within the functioning of the Union’s internal market.
