President Donald Trump may expand his travel ban list, Politico reported referring to its sources.

The list includes Belarus, Myanmar, Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Sudan and Tanzania.

An official announcement expected as early as Monday.

According to the source, instead of a complete ban on entering the country, restrictions may apply to certain government officials or a certain type of visa.

“Nonetheless, any new restrictions are likely to strain ties with the affected countries, some of which assist the U.S. on issues like fighting terrorism, and some of which Washington has been trying to court for strategic reasons,” the source noted.

The first such bans appeared after a week of Donald Trump’s presidency on January 27, 2017. The list of countries included Iran, Libya, Somalia, Syria and Yemen, Venezuela and North Korea.
